Apie filmą: vidutinio amžiaus striuardesė Jackie Brown kontrabanda iš Meksikos į Los Andželą gabena pinigus ginklų prekeiviui Ordell Robbie. Su 10000 dolerių ir kokainu rankinėje ją pagauna agentai Ray Nicolette ir Mark Dargus ir pasiūlo jai padėti suimti Ordellį mainais į laisvę. Ordellis tuo tarpu paprašo užstatais prekiaujančio Maxo Cherry, kad pasirūpintų jog Jackie būtų paleista ir nužudytų. Jackie numano Ordellio tikslus, prasideda sudėtingas žaidimas, kuriame ji gali arba pavogti iš Ordellio pusę milijono dolerių arba netekti gyvybės.

Filmas išlaiko įprastus Tarantino stiliaus bruožus – sudėtingą kriminalinį siužetą, juodą humorą, žaidimą su žanrinio kino elementais (šį kartą – balxploitation žanro). Kitaip sakant, turėtų būti smagi peržiūra.

About the movie: 44 year old flight attendant Jackie Brown gets caught with gun dealer Ordell Robbie’s money and to get the ATF off her back she sets up Ordell with her new friend, a bail bondsman named Max Cherry. But what the ATF doesn’t know, is that they are part of her wild plan to get Ordell’s half million dollars and get off scott free. However, she has to do it under the noses of both Ordell, the ATF man and a local cop. What she doesn’t know is Ordell’s blonde beach bunny wants the money for herself as does Ordell’s ex-con friend.

The film has all the traits of a Tarantino film – a twisted crime plot, black humor, play with elements of genre films (in this case, the genre of blaxploitation). In other words, it should be a fun watch.
