Šį penktadienį Emmoje atidaroma biblioteka, kuri nuo šiol veiks pirmadieniais-penktadieniais 14-23val.* ir renginių metu. Bibliotekoje galite ne tik skaityti ir skolintis knygas, taip pat galite dirbti su kompiuteriu, yra internetas, patogūs foteliai ir sofos pavargusiems. Galite išsivirti kavos, arbatos ar pasigaminti savo maistą virtuvėje.
Knygas galite nemokamai pasiskolinti vienam mėnesiui. Jeigu norite jas laikyti ilgiau, turit iš naujo paklausti, ar nėra kitų žmonių, laukiančių eilėje.
Bibliotekos kolekcijoje rasite radikalios kairės, feministinės, grožinės literatūros, įvairių savileidybos žurnalų iš Lietuvos ir kitų šalių bei kitų spausdinių.
Iki bibliotekai atsirandant Emmoje, jos kolekcija pildėsi keliuose ankstesniuose infoshopuose: Pavasaris (2006), Labdariai, Taškas (2013-2014), Žalias Namas (2015), Infokrautuvė (2016). Visos šios iniciatyvos siekė platinti alternatyvią, kritinę literatūrą, kuri Lietuvoje nėra leidžiama ar parduodama.
Kviečiame prisidėti prie bibliotekos ir aukoti knygas, jei jos atitinka tematiką ar finansiškai prisidėti prie naujų knygų pirkimo.

The library is open from Monday to Friday from around 2PM to 11PM and during events at „Emma”.
*since the librarians are volunteers who also have to do other things, it might happen that the library would not work at these hours.

There is a desk for work with computer and internet connection. You can make tea or coffee or even use the kitchen to make food. There are comfortable couches to help you fully experience the pleasure of reading.
You can borrow the books for one month’s time. In case you would want to have them for longer, please contact the library to make sure if there are no other people who want the book.
In the library’s collection, you will find texts of radical left and feminist theory, as well as fiction, zines and other types of printed material from Lithuania and abroad.
Before the Library found its place in Emma, its collection grew in various other infoshops: Pavasaris (2006), Labdariai, Taškas (2013-2014), Žalias Namas (2015), Infokrautuvė (2016). All of these initiatives sought to spread alternative and critical literature that is not published or sold in Lithuania.
You can also help the library grow by donating books that are appropriate for the format of the library, or by contributing financially to acquisition of new books.
